Molly Marina and the Minks
Molly’s artistic approach is influenced by her love of art, people, music, and science. She sees the world holistically and embodies diversity in her work. Driven by a desire to create meaningful connections and conversations, she conceived the “100 Portraits of Copenhagen’s Power Women” project, also known as “The Power People Project.” This ambitious initiative showcases the inspiring stories of 100 diverse and powerful women who embody resilience, success, and individuality, aiming to rewrite history and redefine the concept of power. Molly’s distinctive photographic style, inspired by the glamour and elegance of old Hollywood, adds an air of timeless beauty to the portraits. Her careful balance of light and shadow, along with her knack for highlighting each subject’s unique facial characteristics, creates a cinematic and dreamy atmosphere that draws the viewer in and encourages them to explore the story behind each Power Woman. In her pursuit of authenticity, Molly encourages her subjects to share personal stories, ideas, or points of view that are important, funny, or exciting to them. By focusing on the individual and not on their titles or roles, Molly aims to create relatable archetypes, fostering a sense of connection and understanding between the viewer and the Power Women. With the Power People Project, Molly aspires to create a platform for change and a space for dialogue about power, resilience, success, and individuality. By celebrating the unique journeys of each Power Woman and emphasizing the importance of diversity, Molly is challenging societal expectations and inspiring others to take control of their own narratives. As a promising new figure in the socio-artistic community, Molly Marina is dedicated to her art and committed to empowering others through her work. As the creative force behind the Power People Project, Molly continues to break boundaries and redefine the way we view power and success.
